GREENWOOD is an English medium day school. It is situated in Rampur on the banks of river kosi, 180 kms from New Delhi. It was founded in 1974 by Mrs. Nawab Khan, a prominent educationist, amidst lush green surroundings, thus the name ‘GREENWOOD’. It is imparting education to the students till class 12th. The School is a minority, private, unaided institute affiliated to the C.B.S.E., New Delhi.
A managing committee was formed consisting of 11 members representing a cross section of the society. Late Mr. Haseeb Ahmad Khan Retd. Spl. Judicial Magistrate was the first Chairman-Governing Body and it was registered under the Societies Act of 1860. This 11 member society is known as Greenwood Education Society. The school administration is taken care of by the Principal Mr. NK Tiwari and Hony. Director, Mr. Shahid khan who are responsible for the overall development of the school viz. academic and curricular activities.
